David Spoont, a 30-year real estate industry veteran, leads Haverford Capital Management, Inc.

David Spoont is the president and founder of Haverford Capital Management, Inc., a licensed commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in mortgage brokerage and disposition advisory services.

Prior to establishing Haverford Capital Management, Inc. in January 2012, Mr. Spoont was Senior Vice President of Finance and Dispositions for CenterSquare Investment Management Holdings, Inc. (formerly Urdang Capital Management, Inc.). During Mr. Spoont’s tenure at CenterSquare, he was responsible for the financing and disposition of a multi-billion dollar national portfolio of commercial real estate investments, with property types including multi-family, office, retail, mixed use, industrial, hospitality, and self-storage. Mr. Spoont worked with CenterSquare’s institutional clients, joint venture partners, and sponsored funds to assure the optimal outcome of financings and dispositions.

Mr. Spoont is highly regarded for his insightful capital market knowledge and senior relationships with lenders and commercial real estate brokers. Mr. Spoont was an adjunct faculty member of the Villanova University School of Business from 2015-2018, instructing a graduate-level class in real estate capital markets. He is a frequently invited panelist for commercial real estate events sponsored by iGlobal Forum.

Mr. Spoont earned his B.S. In Finance and Economics from Lehigh University and his M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business. Mr. Spoont is an independent director of two non-traded public apartment REITs and is an active member of the Union League of Philadelphia Real Estate Club. Mr. Spoont and Haverford Capital Management, Inc. are licensed brokers in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
